Project Title: Local Soil Observation

Objective: Identify soil types, properties, and profiles through observation.

Project Instructions:

  1. 1. Collect small soil samples from two locations.
  2. 2. Describe color, texture, and moisture for each sample.
  3. 3. Identify the likely soil type (sandy, loamy, clay).
  4. 4. Sketch a simple soil profile if possible.
  5. 5. Consult your coach where necessary.

Evidence to Submit:

  • • Soil sample notes and observations.
  • • Identified soil types and properties.
  • • Simple soil profile sketch or description.

Part C: Training Others

Teach a peer about soil formation and properties.
