Part B: Project

Apply statistics, probability, and matrices in practical tasks.

Project Title: Data, Chance, and Matrices

Objective: Collect data, compute probability, and use basic matrix operations.

Project Instructions:

  1. 1. Collect data from a small group and present it in a table or chart.
  2. 2. Calculate mean, median, and mode from your data.
  3. 3. Run a simple probability experiment and compare experimental vs theoretical probability.
  4. 4. Create two matrices and perform one operation (addition or multiplication).
  5. 5. Consult your coach where necessary.

Evidence to Submit:

  • • Data table/chart and calculations.
  • • Probability experiment notes.
  • • Matrix operation working.

Submission

Accepted: PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC, DOCX (max 8MB).

Part C: Training Others

Teach a peer about statistics or probability.

Guidance:

  • • Explain mean, median, and mode with examples.
  • • Demonstrate a simple probability experiment.
  • • Introduce a basic matrix operation.

Reflection:

  • • What concept did you teach?
  • • What was difficult to explain?
  • • What did you understand better after teaching?

Submission

Accepted: PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC, DOCX (max 8MB).

Part D: Assessment

Competency Levels:

1 = Expectations not met

2 = Partially met

3 = Satisfactorily met

4 = Excellently met

Coach assessment: Learner completes the self-assessment using the 1-4 scale. The coach prepares a short quiz or conversation (outside the system if needed) and assigns the coach score.

Self-assessment:

  • • Statistics and data presentation:
  • • Probability concepts:
  • • Matrices operations:
