Part B: Project
Explore plant and animal nutrition through observation.
Project Title: Nutrition in Plants and Animals
Objective: Observe nutrition processes in plants and animals and record findings.
Project Instructions:
- 1. Observe a green plant and note signs of photosynthesis (leaf color, sunlight exposure).
- 2. Identify one plant storage organ (tuber, bulb, or root) and its function.
- 3. Choose an animal and describe its feeding habit.
- 4. Outline the main parts of the digestive system and where enzymes act.
- 5. Consult your coach where necessary.
Evidence to Submit:
- • Notes on plant nutrition and storage organs.
- • Description of feeding habit and digestion.
- • Simple labeled digestive system sketch.
Submission
Part C: Training Others
Teach a peer about nutrition in plants or animals.
Guidance:
- • Explain photosynthesis and its requirements.
- • Describe one feeding habit and digestion steps.
- • Ask the learner to identify storage organs.
Reflection:
- • What did the learner understand well?
- • What needed more explanation?
- • What support do you need from your coach?
Submission
