MODULE: 4
Part A: Units
1. Reflection of light
a. Laws of reflection
b. Plane mirrors
c. Image formation
2. Waves
a. Types of waves
b. Properties of waves
Part B: Project
Explore reflection and wave properties through simple observations.
Project Title: Light Reflection and Waves in Action
Objective: Demonstrate reflection and identify properties of waves.
Project Instructions:
- 1. Use a plane mirror to demonstrate reflection and measure angles.
- 2. Draw a ray diagram showing image formation in a plane mirror.
- 3. Create a simple wave using a rope or spring and label wavelength and amplitude.
- 4. Identify the type of wave demonstrated.
- 5. Consult your coach where necessary.
Evidence to Submit:
- • Reflection observations and angle values.
- • Ray diagram for plane mirror.
- • Wave sketch with labeled properties.
Submission
Part C: Training Others
Guide a peer on reflection and waves.
Guidance:
- • Explain the laws of reflection.
- • Show how images form in a plane mirror.
- • Demonstrate a wave and label its parts.
Reflection:
- • What did the learner understand well?
- • What needed more clarification?
- • What support do you need from your coach?
Submission
