Simple business observation or idea.

Project Title: Local Business Observation and Idea Development

Objective: Apply business basics by observing a local business and identifying key environmental factors.

Project Instructions:

  1. 1. Identify a small business in your community (shop, salon, kiosk, workshop, or online business).
  2. 2. Observe the business operations for at least 20 minutes or interview the owner briefly.
  3. 3. List the goods or services offered and the target customers.
  4. 4. Identify environmental factors affecting the business (competition, location, supply, technology, government rules, customer needs).
  5. 5. Propose one simple business idea or improvement based on your observations.
  6. 6. Consult your coach where necessary.

Evidence to Submit:

  • • Short notes on the business and services.
  • • List of environmental factors identified.
  • • Your business idea or improvement proposal.

Part C: Training Others

Teach or guide another learner on business basics and business environment.

Guidance:

  • • Explain what business is and its purpose.
  • • Describe key elements of the business environment.
  • • Use a local example to show how environment affects business.

  2. 2. Identify two environmental factors influencing a local business.
  3. 3. Guide the learner to suggest one improvement for that business.
