Project Title: Local Area Observation and Simple Mapping
Objective: Apply basic geography skills through observing the local environment and creating a simple map.
Project Instructions:
- 1. Choose a small local area (home compound, school, market, or nearby street).
- 2. Observe key physical and human features (buildings, roads, vegetation, water sources).
- 3. Sketch a simple map showing these features with correct symbols.
- 4. Add a title, key/legend, and a simple compass direction (N, S, E, W).
- 5. Note the position of the Earth in relation to the Sun and how day and night occur.
- 6. Consult your coach where necessary.
Evidence to Submit:
- • A labeled sketch map with a key and direction.
- • Short notes on physical and human features observed.
- • Brief explanation of Earth-Sun relationship.
