Apply fractions, decimals, squares, and algebra in a real-life problem.
Project Title: Numbers in Everyday Decisions
Objective: Use fractions, decimals, squares, and algebra to solve a practical problem.
Project Instructions:
- 1. Choose a real-life situation (shopping, budgeting, transport, cooking, or construction).
- 2. Use fractions and decimals to calculate totals or comparisons.
- 3. Include at least one square or square root calculation.
- 4. Create an algebraic expression for part of the problem and evaluate it.
- 5. Show all steps and explain your reasoning.
- 6. Consult your coach where necessary.
Evidence to Submit:
- • Clear problem statement.
- • All calculations and steps.
- • Final solution with short explanation.
Submission
Part C: Training Others
Guide another learner on fractions, decimals, or algebra.
Guidance:
- • Explain one key concept in simple terms.
- • Demonstrate a worked example.
- • Support the learner to solve a similar problem.
Reflection:
- • What concept did you teach?
- • What was difficult to explain?
- • What did you understand better after teaching?
Submission
